Have you just moved into a new home?
Have you a garden that needs to be improved?
Then the Gardean Action Teams are for you!

Garden Action Teams are run all over Ballymun wherever there are residents who want to find out more about their gardens.  A team is made up of four neighbours who meet over seven weeks with GAP’s Community Gardeners. They spend two hours each week in the team members gardens doing some practical gardening and covering garden topics.  The teams can run in the morning, afternoon or evening, whatever suits you.

The Gardening Project started early in 2004 as a response to the needs of the residents of Ballymun.  As part of the regeneration project, people in Ballymun were moving from high rise flats to low rise houses with back and front gardens. The Garden Action Team project was developed to aid residents in this transition.

From these origins, the garden project grew to develop four main strands, the Garden Action Teams (GAT's), Garden Events and Workshops, Community lead events and Schools projects. You can find out more about each of these strands in the menu above. Global Action Plan has two community gardeners working in Ballymun, Sinéad Finn and Brenda Palmer.
