The Community Garden Events differ from the other garden events in that members of the community approach the Community Gardeners with an idea of some gardening project they would like to run in their area.  There is an environmental grant available from Dublin City Council to residents groups and this is often used to fund a plant sale or workshop in a certain area.  In these cases, the residents do all the advertising, organising and transporting, the community gardener orders the plants and shows up on the day to give support.
