“Your new area is great; we want to give you the tools to get the best out of your new home & community”
The Welcome Programme works with residents in Ballymun who have just moved into their new homes. During the initial stages of the programme GAP staff call door to door spending time with residents and finding out how they are getting on. Following this we organise information days and workshops covering the topics of waste, energy and water conservation. We also run a number of gardening workshops in the areas encouraging everyone to come out and plant up a hanging basket or pot for their homes.

GAP will assist residents in getting their green wheelie bins, finding out what they can recycle, organising a compost bin sale and workshop in the area and responding to those needs identified by residents during the course of the programme. If you have recently moved into a new area and woud like to find out more about the Welcome Programme contact Ian or Vanessa in the GAP office at 01 8625846, we would love to hear from you.
