Schools +
Building on the success of the Schools programme the Schools + programme was launched in 2004.
The programme is available to any school that has completed the Schools programme and wishes to build on their interest in making their school as green as possible.
GAP is working with 5 of the local primary schools to plan, organise and implement a number of projects already. These have included; developing school gardens, making & planting vegetable beds, school ground nature surveys, environmental art workshops including papermaking, collage & aboriginal finger painting, organic and FairTrade foodtasting, support & assistance in applying for An Taisce Green Flag status.
